Last night LandofSpike attended the Fireside Chat between stellar authors Karen McCombie and Keren David as part of the Crouch End Festival at the ever-marvelous Pickled Pepper Bookshop.
It was of course brilliantly entertaining with inciteful observations about the creative process and advice on how to look like you're working whilst actually just staring out of the window.
The only issue which bothered LandofSpike was regarding the choice of subject matter when authoring your book. KMcC conjectured that you have to be selective and you can't, for example, write a book, in poetry format, about a Magical Goat. This obviously, with due reverence to the genius that is Ms McC, is bad advice. The Magical Goat idea is, of course, Absolute Genius. And an idea which LandofSpike fully intends to steal.
